Caldwell County junior Ryan Hammett won his second-straight 2nd Region singles championship this season.
But he ran into a difficult draw at the state tennis tournament and dropped a 6-0, 6-0 decision to a highly-seeded player Tuesday morning.
Still, Hammett finished the year with a 20-2 mark and helped the Tigers win their third-straight regional team title.
YSE spoke with Hammett following his state tourney match.
