It did not take Heritage Christian Academy long to find their new boys’ soccer coach. Just days after the retirement of former head coach Clinton Willis, HCA Athletic Director Matt McGowan announced Thursday afternoon that Lloyd Young would be promoted from within to take over the varsity team and to oversee the entire soccer program at the school.

This will be Young’s second season with Heritage in a coaching capacity. He had served as head coach for the middle school teams during the fall and spring seasons.

In a statement, McGowan noted that “We’re excited to see the direction that Coach Young will take our soccer program as we begin our first season as full members of the KHSAA.”
