Woodford County junior Jasper Johnson didn’t take long to make his presence felt in Las Vegas at the Pangos All-American Camp.

In his first game Sunday for Team Florida State, he had 16 points, four assists, three rebounds and two turnovers in 20 minutes in an 82-77 loss to Team North Carolina.

Recruiting writer Trevor Trout paid attention to what Johnson was doing Sunday night.

“Magical things can happen when the pill (basketball) is in Jasper Johnson’s hands,” Trout tweeted.

Johnson was 6-for-9 from the field including 4-for-7 on 3-pointers in the game.

National scout Trevor Andershock, publisher of inbasketballsource.com, tweeted this while watching Johnson.

Jasper Johnson cannot miss tonight … well until that heat check (on a DEEP 3). Other than that, the 2025 guard has been out of this world,” Andershock posted.

“Just dominated the ball-screen drill. He was on fire from 3 then used his length to finish drives over defenders at the rim.”

Elite High School Recruiting listed the 6-4 guard as one of Sunday’s standouts at the camp.

National recruiting expert Joe Tipton had Johnson listed as one of “Sunday’s top performers.”

The Pangos All-American Camp is where players like John Wall, Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Bradley Beal, Russell Westbrook and many other future NBA stars started dazzling NBA scouts.

Johnson has also been invited to the National Basketball Association Top 100 Camp in Orlando June 26-July 1.
