A former Trigg County High School athlete was one of nearly 50 U.S. High School athletes that competed in the Aecon Bermuda National Championship in Devonshire last week.

Fatu Crain, who left Trigg County in the spring and plans to run at The Clarksville Academy in the fall, ran a personal best time of 1:00.34 in the 400-meter dash to place second in the 14-19 age division.

She also ran a 2:29.53 in the 800-meter run and finished in fourth place in the 14-19 age division.

The Bermuda Challenge brought 50 visiting athletes from America to compete against up-and-coming athletes from Bermuda.

Crain has earned early acceptance into Murray State University and plans to continue her running career with the Racers in 2024-25.
