Oscar Tshiebwe no longer plays at Kentucky but he’s going to be joined by current UK players for the Oscar Tshiebwe Youth Basketball Camp Aug. 27 from 2-5 p.m. at the Sports Center in Lexington.

Camp participants will work with Tshiebwe and members of coach John Calipari’s current team on various camp drills. The camp is open to girls and boys in grades one to eight.

Current Cats scheduled to join Tshiebwe, the unanimous 2021-22 national player of the year, are Aaron Bradshaw, Justin Edwards, Rob Dillingham, Antonio Reeves, Tre Mitchell, Reed Sheppard, Adou Thiero, Kareem Watkins, Joey Hart, Jordan Burks, Walker Horn, Grant Darbyshire, and Brennan Canada.

Early bird pricing is $160 per participant until spots become limited. Scholarship opportunities are also available for families in need (go to www.OscarCamp.com for more information).

Camp participants will be placed in small groups to provide maximum instruction from Tshiebwe and the current UK players for each camper. Each participant will receive a team photo, camp T-shirt and autograph. Tshiebwe and others will answer questions and provide feedback to the players on their performances.

“At ProCamps, we pride ourselves on ensuring that the clinic is not simply an ‘athlete appearance.’The comprehensive camp experience is great for athletes of all skill levels, whether they are new to the game or have been playing for years,” the camp release said. “Individual and team awards will be given in each age group. We are committed to providing your child with the experience of a lifetime.”
