You can now make it 13 matches and 31 sets in a row for the University Heights Academy Lady Blazers. The 2nd Region’s top-ranked volleyball team did nothing to harm its position Tuesday night in a straight-set win over Webster County.
The Lady Blazers owned the match from the very beginning. UHA took the opening set 25-10. The Lady Blazers were in repeat mode in the second set, also winning 25-10. UHA then closed out the sweep with a 25-15 win in the third set.
Olivia Oakley led the attack for University Heights, finishing the night with ten kills. Julia Thomas and Chayse Gilliland added 7 kills each. Thomas also had five service aces.
Sarah Peebles set things up for her teammates with 24 assists. She also had seven digs.
The Lady Blazers improve to 15-1 on the year. They are back in action Thursday night when they host Christian County in an 8th District tilt.
