A season of improvements for Trigg County sophomore Emma Dowell continued at the State First Round Monday at Calvert City Country Club.
After shooting a 95 in the 1st Region tournament to advance, Dowell shaved a couple more strokes off her score while carding a 93 in the State First Round.
It wasn’t enough to earn her a spot at the State Final Rounds next week in Bowling Green, but the experience should give her some momentum heading into next season.
YSE spoke with Dowell following Monday’s round in Calvert City.
