Christian County’s leading soccer scorer for the 2023 season will play college soccer at Berea College.
Alaya Lander announced on social media that she will attend the school south of Richmond in central Kentucky.
Lander scored 18 goals in 20 games for the Lady Colonels in 2023. This came after a junior season cut to 11 games due to injury where she had seven goals.
She finished her career with 34 goals and earned All-District honors.
Berea is an NCAA Division III school that competes in the Collegiate Conference of the South. The Pioneers were 2-13-3 in 2023.
