Four Area Players Selected to Play in Kentucky-Ohio All-Star Game

Four area players are among those on the final roster for the Kentucky team that will play next week in this year’s Kentucky-Ohio All-Stars basketball game. The final rosters were announced Wednesday afternoon.

Two members of the state championship team at Lyon County were selected. Mr. Basketball Travis Perry, along with his teammate Brady Shoulders, will represent the Bluegrass State at the game. Perry finished the year averaging 28.8 points a game, while Shoulders just missed averaging a double-double with 17.5 points and 9.9 rebounds.

Todd County Central’s leading scorer Jamison Glass will also play for the Kentucky All-Stars. Glass finished his senior season averaging 26.4 points and 10.0 rebounds per contest.

Christian County big man Derrell Bateman was also selected to be on the team. Bateman was among the best in Western Kentucky, averaging 23.2 points and 12.5 rebounds per night.

Two other players that fans in the area got the chance to see this year will also be on the Kentucky roster. Bowling Green’s Mason Ritter and Warren Central’s Kade Unseld join a very good contingent from this end of the state taking to the court against the Ohio team.

The game is set for Saturday, April 20, at Thomas More.
