This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of May 27 is Hopkinsville High School’s Ian Rosario. Ian was selected based on his performance at the state track and field meet May 31 in Lexington.

Rosario used a burst over the final one-third to win the 300-meter hurdles by .09 seconds over Bourbon County’s Asher Mattox. His win capped a season that saw Rosario win the event in his final six meets and not finish worse than third.

His time of 39.35 seconds is the second-fastest in school history.

The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Christian County, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game or event for their team that week.
