With the start of the 2024 soccer season now just days away, teams across the state are getting in some last-minute work this week in the form of preseason scrimmages. Things are no different for the Hopkins County Central Storm.
The Storm took to the pitch Monday evening as they hosted the Ohio County Eagles. The Eagles, who reached the 3rd Region semifinals in 2023, look the part of a regional contender as they blanked Hopkins County Central 5-0.
Abe Evans led the way for the Eagles with a pair of goals and an assist. Jaden Sandria, Edi Vasquez, and JJ Pacheco had one goal each for Ohio County.
Hopkins County Central is set to open the 2024 season next Monday at home against the Todd County Central Rebels.
