The Second Region volleyball race is wide open.
Only three region schools are unbeaten against other region teams – Henderson County (5-0), Caldwell County (2-0), and University Heights Academy (2-0).
Crittenden County and Heritage Christian Academy are both 4-1 against regional opposition.
Madisonville is 2-4 in the region with a win over Christian County. The Lady Colonels are 2-3 in the region with a win over HCA. And HCA picked up a straight-set win over Madisonville on Tuesday in Hopkinsville.

HCA welcomed injured starter Hadlee Hayes back to the fold and romped to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-13 win) over Madisonville at Warrior Gym.
The win was HCA’s second in three career meetings with the Lady Maroons and both teams are expected to be a factor in this year’s region race.
HCA used a 6-0 run in the first set to take a 16-9 lead with Katie Cansler doing the serving work for the Lady Warriors during that stretch.
It was an 8-0 run that sparked HCA in the second set and an 11-0 run in the third set that saw the Lady Warriors take command of the match.
For HCA, they saw Hayes return to facilitate their offense after an ankle injury at the KCAC State Tournament 10 days ago. The Lady Warriors were 1-3 in her absence. She had a kill and nine assists in her return.
Heritage Christian Academy (6-3) will host Christian Fellowship on Thursday before hosting the Second Region All A Classic region tournament on Saturday.
Madisonville (2-6) will host Caldwell County for a 7th District contest on Thursday and play at Christian County next Tuesday.
