Hopkinsville Lady Tigers Run to 3rd Place Finish at Storm Invitational

Three top 20 finishes carried the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers to a third place finish Saturday in the girls’ race at the Storm Invitational. Lauren Mayes, Alexis Herrera Loveto, and Rebecca Wood, all finished among the top 20 runners in the race

Hopkinsville took 3rd place with a team total of 86 points. Owensboro Catholic ‘ran’ away with the team title scoring an unbelievable 20 points. The Lady Aces took 2nd through 5th place among the individual runners. Clarksville Northwest just inched past Hopkinsville with 81 points for second place.

Lauren Mayes was the top finisher for the Lady Tigers with a time of 22:55.00, placing her 10th. Isabella Day, of LaRue County, took 1st place with a run of 19:09.20. Peyton Reid, of Owensboro Catholic was second.

Individual performances for the Lady Tigers were:

Lauren Mayes – 10th place
Alexis Herrera – 15th place
Rebecca Wood – 19th place
Kaydon Coats – 25th place
Evelyn Bangart – 39th place
Luanna Acree – 57th place
