With just two weeks left until region tournament week, golfers are fine-tuning their game in preparation.
During a Monday friendly match at the Hopkinsville Country Club, Hopkinsville edged Christian County 165-174.
Hopkinsville’s Wade Foster and Christian County’s Drew Fincham both shot a 39 over nine holes with Foster taking medalist honors in a playoff.
Henry Riggs shot a 41 for Hopkinsville followed by Isiah Wood (42), Ryan Martin (43), and Sam Riggs (44).
In addition to Fincham’s 39, Aiden Lewis shot a 42 followed by a 46 from both Tay Martinez and Peyton Hilton, a 57 from Jaedon McMillian, and a 64 from Chris Adcock.
The teams are scheduled to play again on Tuesday at Western Hills Golf Course.
The Region 2 Golf Tournament will be on Monday, Sept. 23 at the Owensboro Country Club.
