The schedule of matches and the pairings for the girls’ 8th District soccer tournament are now set following Monday morning’s district meeting at University Heights Academy. The boys’ pairings are not finalized as University Heights and Hopkinsville are playing Tuesday evening to determine the top seed in the boys’ tournament.
Tournament play will begin Saturday, October 5th at University Heights with the boys’ #4 vs #5 contest between the Fort Campbell Falcons and the Heritage Christian Academy Warriors.
The boys’ semifinals will then be played Tuesday, October 8. The 5:30 contest will have the winner of the match between Fort Campbell and Heritage Christian taking on the winner of Tuesday night’s match between UHA and Hopkinsville. The second match that evening will have Christian County taking on the loser of the match between Hopkinsville and University Heights.
The boys’ championship match will then be played Thursday, October 10 at 6pm.
In the girls’ tournament, the semifinals will be played Monday, October 7. The first semifinal at 5:30 will have top-seeded University Heights taking on Christian County. The second semifinal match that night will have Hopkinsville squaring off against Fort Campbell.
The girls’ championship match will be Wednesday, October 9 at 6pm.
All matches are being played at Givens Field at University Heights Academy.
Tickets will be $8.00 cash only. Those under the age of 5 will be admitted free of charge.
