Lyon County earned a ninth-place finish in Wednesday’s Region 1 Golf Tournament at Calvert City Golf and Country Club.
Cooper Collins led the Lyon effort with an 82, which just missed earning him a berth in the State First Round next week.
The top two teams and next 10 lowest individual scores in the regional move on.
Carson Collins was next for the Lyons with a 90. Cohen Wiggins carded a 94, Jonah Ramey 96 and Colton Gobin 97.
That gave Lyon a team score of 362.
Landon Hunt of McCracken County claimed medalist honors after being the only player to finish in red numbers with a 3-under 69. That helped the Mustangs take the team championship as well with a 293.
Marshall County was team runner-up at 306, followed by Paducah Tilghman at 316, Murray at 321 and Graves County at 331.
Hickman County was sixth with a score of 340, followed by Livingston Central (345), Caldwell County (361) and then Lyon County.
Carlisle County and Paducah St. Mary were just one shot behind Lyon at 363.
Ballard Memorial (368), Crittenden County (384) and Christian Fellowship School (450) rounded out the team scores.
