A tough stretch of the volleyball season did not get any better Tuesday night for the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers. The Lady Tigers made a trip up the highway to Calhoun to take on the McLean County Lady Cougars and found the Lady Cougars not to be in a welcoming spirit as McLean County took the straight-set win.
The Lady Cougars won the opening set 25-19 to go up one set to none. McLean County then took the second 25-17 as they build a 2-0 lead in the match.
The Lady Cougars finished things off with their strongest set of the night in the third, winning the set 25-14 to finish out the sweep of the Lady Tigers.
Madysen Taggart continued her solid season for the Lady Tigers. She finished with 6 kills, 5 digs, and a block. Kyleigh Weber had 3 assists, 6 digs, and 3 aces. Alayna King led Hopkinsville with 6 assists for the match.
Hopkinsville (2-19) goes back on the road Thursday night as they travel to Princeton to take on the Caldwell County Lady Tigers.
