Not only are our high school teams around the area outstanding on the field of competition, many of them are outstanding in their school and in their communities as well. Those are the teams that are at the top of the list, or an ‘A-Team’ so to say. In this case, the Chick-fil-A ‘A-Team’.
Teams that exhibit great core values like accountability, growth, respect to others, quality, and service.
The Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors have been outstanding on the volleyball court this season and are taking aim at the program’s first-ever district championship. They have been among the top teams in the region all season long.
On Monday night, the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors volleyball team made a significant impact in the community off the court. Before their match against McLean County, the team presented a $2,000 donation to the Pink Ribbon Network as part of their Pink Out Night event.
The generous contribution was the result of the dedicated fundraising efforts of the team members to support breast cancer awareness.
The Lady Warriors, donning pink uniforms, not only aimed to secure a victory in their match but also to champion a cause close to many hearts across the area. Their commitment to raising awareness, and funds, highlights the power of the youth in the area to drive positive change in their communities.
The Heritage Christian Academy volleyball team, on the court and off, is certainly worthy of Chick-fil-A ‘A-Team’ status.
