The Owensboro Catholic Aces continue to look like a team that has the singular focus of getting back to the Class 2A state championship game. The Aces got their typical big game from quarterback Brady Atwell and clinched the top seed in the district with a 50-0 win at Fort Campbell Friday night.
Atwell passed for five first half touchdowns, four of them coming in the first quarter. The Aces led 28–0 after the first and got to the running clock with 6:53 to go in the second when Atwell tossed his 5th touchdown pass of the night.
The Aces also got a first half touchdown from Miles Edge, who rushed for a 13 yard score with 3:05 to go in the half.

Owensboro Catholic added a late score when Dremail Carothers hit Riley Harville for a 38 yard touchdown pass in the 4th quarter.
The Aces defense was effective as well, holding the Falcons to just 160 yard while their offense cranked out 366 total yards. Fort Campbell had just 47 yards rushing in the contest.
Atwell was 18 of 22 with one interception for 231 yards through the air.
J.P. Perryman was 6 of 16 with two picks for 89 yards for Fort Campbell.

The Falcons go to 4-4 overall and 2-1 in district play. Fort Campbell will host an opening round playoff game in two weeks as they take on Caldwell County, who knocked off Crittenden County 36-27 Friday night in Princeton.
The Aces are 9-0 overall and 3-0 in the district. They will host Crittenden County in two weeks as the playoffs get underway.
