The Lyon County cheerleading squad will be headed back to state for the second time in three years following a runner-up finish at the Regions 1/2 competition on Saturday.
Lyon County registered a score of 56.40 from the judges to finish in second place behind Marshall County.
It will be the second trip to state in three years for Lyon County and their third since the KHSAA first sanctioned cheerleading in 2012.
Lyon County competes in the All-Girls Medium Division which requires between 16 and 19 team members.
Lyon will compete at the KHSAA State Cheerleading Championships on Dec. 13-14 in Winchester.
