
The Hopkins County Central cheer squad will be making a fourth straight trip to the state competition after finishing runner-up at the region competition on Saturday.
The Storm cheerleaders competed in the Game Day Large division, which consists of squads with between 20 and 30 cheerleaders. Their score was 87.40, which was 4.10 points behind first-place Henderson County at Saturday’s Regions 1/2 competition at Barren County High School.
Hopkins County Central has seen a squad advance to state four straight years and nine times in the past 12.
