Athletic teams across the area are not just exceptional on the court or on the field. Many of these outstanding young people involved in high school sports are also involved in many different ways in giving back to their school community and their community and are standing out in the classroom.
Those are the teams that are at the top of the list, or an ‘A-Team’ so to say. In this case, the Chick-fil-A ‘A-Team’. Teams that exhibit great core values like accountability, growth, respect to others, quality, and service.
Such is the case with the baseball team and the cheerleading squad at Hopkins County Central High School. Several members of the student-athletes from both squads volunteered this week at the Christian Food Bank in Hopkins County. This effort came about as part of the community outreach project with the Superintendent Student Council in Hopkins County.
A great chance for these young people to be involved in an important effort and to benefit others in the community around them.
The Hopkins County Central cheerleading squad and the Storm baseball team, on the court, and off, are certainly great examples of a Chick-fil-A ‘A-Teams.’
