Christian County Takes 3rd Place at Ohio County Duals

A big weekend for the Christian County wrestling team. The Colonels went on the road to take part in the Ohio County duals and came home with a third place finish.

After a bye in the opening round, the Colonels defeated Greenwood 70-10 in Round 2. Christian County also cruised through the quarterfinals with a 71-12 win over South Warren.

The Colonels’ bid for the event championship was derailed with a tough two-point loss to Fort Campbell 41-39.

Christian County then rebounded to beat Montgomery County in the consolation match.

Christian County had several undefeated wrestlers. Those were:

Up next for the Colonels is a trip to Jefferson County where they will wrestle in the King Of The Bluegrass tournament at Fairdale High School.
