Lady Rebels Rally Past Creek Wood 50-44

After losing their last two games by a total of three points, the Todd County Central Lady Rebels got things back on the winning track Tuesday night. Todd County Central got big performances from Alexis Taylor and JaMya Kay as they rallied from a first half deficit to take a 50-44 road win at Creek Wood.

After a slow start, the Lady Rebels trailed 12-6 at the end of the first. The Todd Central offense started to find its footing in the second quarter but still trailed 23-16 at the half.

Taylor and Kay then took over the game coming out to start the second half. The pair combined to score 17 points in the third quarter as the Lady Rebels came charging back to take a 37-32 lead after three.

Todd County Central was then able to fend off Creek Wood over the final eight minutes to take the six point win.

Alexis Taylor and JaMya Kay scored 17 points each to lead Todd County Central. Jordyn Shemwell added 9 points for the Lady Rebels.

Hannah Guthrie led Creek Wood with 14 points. Abby Baker chipped in with 13 and Kendal Bryant had 10.

Todd County Central (2-2) plays its first home game of the season Friday night against Jo Byrns.
