Lyon County improved to 4-0 behind 24 points from Bray Kirk on Friday with a 63-58 victory over hosts Union County.

The Lyons used four points each from Kirk, Nolan Coffman, and Isaac DeFew to build a five-point advantage after the first quarter, overcoming eight points from Union County’s Jaidyn Wilson.

Daishawn Curry posted ten points in the second quarter for the Braves, but Kirk added eight to help the Lyons to a 31-25 advantage at the halftime break.

Wilson put up nine points in the third to counter eight from Kirk and outscore the Lyons 17-16 to trim the margin to five points with a quarter to play.  But despite ten more points from Curry to finish with a team-high 23, Lyon County held on behind six points from DeFew and four each from Bray and Coffman to prevail for a five-point win.

Kirk led all scorers with 24, followed for the Lyons by DeFew with 14, and Coffman with 11.
