You could call it a Mackenzie Stoltz kind of night for the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons. Stoltz gave a dominant effort in the circle and had a big night at the plate as the Lady Maroons got their first win of the season by rolling past cross-county rival Hopkins County Central 18-0 in four innings in Mortons Gap.

Stoltz pitched all four innings for the Lady Maroons, giving up just two hits, while striking out 10 and walking only one.

At the plate, the senior was 3-4 with a pair of home runs, a double, three RBIs, and three runs scored.

Madisonville (1-4) scored four runs in the top of the first to take the lead and never looked back from there. The Lady Maroons scored 9 in the top of the third and then added five more in the top of the fourth.

In addition to Stoltz, the Lady Maroons got big games from Sadie Kirk and Sydney Skeen. Kirk ended up 3-3 with a home run, a double, three RBIs, and three runs scored. Skeen was 3-4 with a triple, two RBIs, and three runs scored. Katelyn Rodgers was 3-3 with 3 RBIs and a run scored.

Cadence Allen and Emily Ballard had the only hits for Hopkins County Central (0-7).

Ballard was tagged with the loss in the circle for the Lady Storm.
