Despite being outhit for the day, the Todd County Central Rebels picked up their second straight win Saturday. Rebel pitcher Noah Rager blanked the Crittenden County Rockets for six innings as the Rebels took a 3-1 win in Elkton.

Crittenden County had six hits for the game to just three for Todd County Central, but the Rebels made the best use of the hits they got.

Devin Schutt led off the bottom of the first with a single to center. He stole second base and then scored on an outfield error by the Rockets to take a 1-0 lead.

In the bottom of the third, after a single and a dropped third strike to open the inning, the Rebels scored on a wild pitch and a passed ball on back-to-back pitches to push the lead out to 3-0.

From there, it was Noah Rager’s day. Rager would finish the game having gone all seven innings, giving up just one run on six hits, striking out six and walking two.

Devin Schutt, Peyton Ortiz, and Aidan Bobbett had one hit each to lead the Rebel offense.

Todd County Central improves to 5-3 with the win and will travel to Bowling Green Monday to take on the Bluegrass Braves.
