Falcons Complete Regular Season Sweep of Heritage Christian

Coming off a pair of tough district losses to Hopkinsville, the Fort Campbell Falcons picked up their second district win of the season Tuesday evening. The Falcons scored in every inning but the first as they rolled past Heritage Christian 12-4 in six innings.

Fort Campbell only outhit HCA 8 to 7 in the game, but the Warriors were charged with five errors and the Warriors pitching staff gave up six walks for the night.

HCA took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on an RBI double from Ethan Miles. Tanner Starnater tied the game at 1-1 with an RBI single in the top of the second.

Fort Campbell then moved ahead for good with four runs in the top of the third. Ryan Brewer and Tanner Starnater had RBI singles during the inning.

The Falcons scored two in the fourth, two in the fifth, and three in the top of the 6th to run the lead out to 12-2.

HCA scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to finish out the game.

Ryan Brewer had a big night for the Falcons, going 3-4 with a double, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Tanner Starnater finished 2-4 with 4 RBIs. John Arnold was 2-4 with three runs scored.

Caden Gresham and Ethan Miles had two hits each for the Warriors. Cadyn Travis finished the game with two RBIs.

Michael Anderson got the win on the mound for the Falcons. He went all six innings, giving up four runs, just two of them earned, on seven hits, striking out one, and walking three.
