With the dead period coming up Wednesday, officials at Todd County Central find themselves looking for a new football coach for the 2025 season. School officials confirmed to YourSportsEdge.Com Saturday afternoon that Chris Fletcher has stepped down after 18 months on the job.
Officials add that a search will get underway immediately to fill the position. No mention was made as to who would serve as the head coach in the interim.
Fletcher’s team went 2-9 in his only season, falling to Mayfield in the opening round of the Class 2A playoffs.
Fletcher replaced Josh Robins, who stepped down at the end of the 2023 season.
He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Rebels during the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
