Caldwell Overcomes Slow Start to Turn Back Livingston

Caldwell County volleyball still has never lost to Livingston Central — but the Lady Tigers had to overcome a first-set loss to post a win over the Lady Cardinals on Tuesday.

After dropping the opening set 25-17, Caldwell came roaring back to take the next three 25-9, 25-14, 25-13.

The Lady Tigers are now 29-0 all-time against Livingston.

Caldwell is 10-10 this season while the Lady Cardinals are 5-10.

Laylay Shearer had 11 kills and a block while Chevy McGowan added eight kills, seven digs and five aces for the Lady Tigers.To

Med Thomas recorded seven kills and three digs. Tink Clark tallied three kills, 10 digs and three aces. Troy Freeman had three kills, a block and three aces.

Kylee White recorded 22 assists to go with two kills, seven aces and three digs. Mycah Riddle had a team-high 16 digs, a kill and four aces. Grace Watson had two kills and two digs.

Maddie Cooper added five digs and four aces.

Caldwell’s girls will next head to Trigg County on Thursday.

Livingston will play at Mayfield on Thursday.
