
Henderson County finished in 34th place at the Kentucky Beef Council Class 3A State Cross Country Meet in Lexington on Saturday.
Junior Ross Plummer, competing at his first state meet, was the first Colonel to cross the finish line in 165th place with a time of 18:33 on the 3.1-mile course.
Senior Ian Hancock ran in his third state meet and came in 167th place in 18:34.
Christian Smith finished in 182nd place in 18:49, while Cameron Anderson came in 226th place in 19:39.
Henry Davis produced a 253rd-place finish in 20:18, and Kaden Risley was 263rd in 20:47.
Conner Runyon finished 282nd in 24:12.
Cooper’s Paul Van Laningham set a new state meet record in winning the Class 3A race in 15:01.
