The Heritage Christian Warriors basketball team went into their road matchup with Webster County still searching for their first win of the season. But the Trojans were able to get the win in commanding fashion at home with a score of 85-32.
The first half is the biggest reason why the Warriors found themselves down so big by the end of the game, as they scored just eight points in the first two quarters.
Meanwhile, the Trojans’ offense was able to immediately come out of the gates absolutely on fire. They were able to score an absurd 40 points in just the first quarter, and they followed it up with a solid 18-point quarter.
So while the Warriors might not have played how they would have wanted, they ran into a Webster offense that really came to play.
While the third quarter was more of the same from the first two for HCA, the fourth was the best of the game for them. They were able to score 12 points in the quarter, but it was obviously too little too late, and they ended up losing 85-32.
Aaron Hensley and Jacob Morgan led the Warriors in scoring with eight points apiece, while Cadyn Travis and Bryce Askew each contributed five of their own.
Heritage Christian will be looking to get in the win column for the first time this season in their next game against the Blazers of University Heights on Thursday, December 11. The game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. at Heritage Christian Academy.
