Falcons Split Monday Games at Community Christian

A split of their final two games of the Track Tech/Community Christian Academy Warrior Christmas Tournament Monday for the Fort Campbell Falcons. After losing to Christian Fellowship on Friday, the Falcons picked up a win over Dresden and then fell to the host school Monday.

In the first game of the day, the Falcons rallied from a 9-point first quarter deficit to come back and take a 52-46 win over Dresden.

Dresden had a big first quarter and took a 22-13 lead after the first eight minutes.

The Falcon defense locked down on Dresden in the second quarter as Fort Campbell closed to within 26-23 at the break.

Fort Campbell again held Dresden to single digits in the third quarter as the Falcons grabbed a 38-35 lead.

The Falcons survived a bit of cool free throw shooting in the final quarter to take the six point win.

Kingston Morton led the way for the Falcons with 17 points. Garrett Vanetta also hit double figures with 15 points. Kyre Ferguson added 6 points.

A monster 3rd quarter from Bradon DeJarnett was the difference in the second game of the day as Community Christian broke open a close game and went on to take a 67-56 win over the Falcons.

Fort Campbell was right there with CCA as the second half got started, leading 25-23. DeJarnett caught fire and scored 24 points in the quarter as Community Christian roared back to take a 51-33 lead going into the final quarter.

The Falcons had their best offensive quarter of the game in the fourth, but it was not enough as CCA held on for the 11-point win.

Kyre Ferguson finished with 26 points to lead Fort Campbell. Garrett Vanetta scored 17 points. Tyler Tow added 6 points for the Falcons.

CCA’s Bradon DeJarnett led all scorers with 38 points. Jonah Anderson finished with 21 points for Community Christian.

Fort Campbell (4-7) is now off until January 2 when the Falcons will go on the road to Caldwell County.
