
Caldwell County saw a double-digit lead slip away at Christian Fellowship School on Monday.
The homestanding Eagles rallied for an 88-68 victory in a date that was added late to the schedule.
Caldwell (14-13) held a 42-33 advantage at halftime, then went up 44-33 early in the second half.
However, CFS (18-9) stormed back to go up 59-56 through three quarters.
The Tigers tied the game early in the final frame, but the Eagles rolled through much of the fourth quarter to pull away for the 20-point win.
Christian Fellowship outscored Caldwell 55-26 in the second half.
It was just the fourth meeting ever between the two schools. The Tigers had won the three previous matchups.
Caldwell got 23 points from Pax Aikins and 22 from Daelyn Lander.
Elijah Grigg pumped in a game-high 31 points for the Eagles. Daxton Kite added 20 points, Jake Burchett 16 and Samuel Grigg 13.
CFS outscored Caldwell by 17 points at the free throw line. The Eagles were 18 of 23 at the stripe while the Tigers made one of five free throws.
Caldwell will be right back in action Tuesday night with a trip to Webster County for a girls and boys doubleheader.
The Tigers will finish the regular season by playing Calloway County Thursday night at the CFSB Center in Murray.
