
The Hopkins County Central Storm broke open a tie game with 17 unanswered runs as the Storm traveled to post and came away with a 23-6 four-inning win over the Fort Campbell Falcons.
Each team scored six runs in the first inning before the Storm took full advantage of the 14 walks given up by Fort Campbell pitching.
The Storm added two runs in the second, seven in the third, and then closed out the game with eight more in the top of the fourth. Hopkins Central scored their 23 runs on just 9 hits for the game.
Neilan Bruce had a big game for the Storm (4-2), going 3-5 with three RBIs, and four runs scored. Daniel Brady was 2-3 with a double, two RBIs, and three runs scored.
Michael Anderson led Fort Campbell (0-4), going 2-3 with a run scored.
Sawyer Ipox picked up the win in relief for Hopkins County Central. He went three innings, giving up no runs on one hit, striking out five, and walking none.
