Massive Second Inning Leads Lady Lyons Past Fort Campbell in All A Classic

The Lyon County Lady Lyons and the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons faced off in the semifinal round of the 2026 All A Classic at Crittenden County. Lyon County was able to score 13 runs in the second inning, and that led them to a 20-1 victory in three innings to advance.

It all started in the first inning when Lyon scored four runs on a wild pitch and three walks, meaning they had gotten out to a 4-0 lead without a hit.

The Lady Falcons came back and scored a run of their own in the bottom of the first on a hard hit triple off the bat of Tristin Caldwell. But it was not enough to keep up with the Lady Lyons’ scoring.

They went on to score 13 runs in the next inning, and it was all capped off by a Maddie Perry single that made the score 17-1. After three more runs on a trio of ground balls from Lyon in the third. their pitching was able to get the job done and close out the game.

Brooklyn Tackett got the start on the mound for the Lady Lyons and allowed just two hits and one run on her way to four strikeouts in two innings of work. Savannah Padon then came in to pitch the final inning. and she ended up striking out the side.

As for the offense, Lyon came away with five hits, and Perry and Ava Prow led the way with a pair of RBIs each.

For the Lady Falcons, their two hits in the game came from Caldwell’s triple and a single from Grace Haler.

Fort Campbell will be looking to bounce back in their next game on Monday, April 13, against Christian Fellowship. Their game will begin at 6 p.m. at Fort Campbell High School.

The Lady Lyons will be in action next on Thursday, April 9, in the All A Championship against the Lady Cardinals of Livingston Central. That game’s first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Marion City Park in Crittenden County.
