The Fort Campbell Lady Falcons softball had not won a game going into their recent game against Christian Fellowship. But that all changed when they were able to get a huge 22-4 victory over the Lady Eagles in just three innings.

Christian Fellowship was able to score a pair of runs with their first chance in the top of the first inning, but Fort Campbell seemingly took that as a challenge.

The Lady Falcons scored a massive 17 runs in the home half of the inning, and it was helped along by some errors and a walk with the bases loaded. But the huge inning was highlighted by an inside-the-park home run by Avaley Moore.

CFS scored another pair of runs in the top of the second, but Fort Campbell scored five more to get into mercy territory. Then, after getting the three outs they needed in the next inning, they were able to walk away with their first win of the season.

Grace Haler got the start on the mound for the Lady Falcons, and was able to pitch all three innings while allowing just one hit and tallying a pair of strikeouts.

Moore led the way for the team at the plate with three hits and four runs batted in, while Tristin Caldwell while also able to contribute two RBIs of her own.

The Lady Falcons will be looking to start a win streak in their next game against the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers on Tuesday, April 14. Their game will begin at 6 p.m. at Fort Campbell.
