Hopkinsville senior Jaleigha McFarland is set to continue her athletic and educational career as a two-sport athlete at Brescia University. McFarland officially signed during ceremonies Wednesday at Hopkinsville High School to play both soccer and basketball.
During her senior season for the Hopkinsville Lady Tiger soccer team, McFarland played in 17 matches. She finished the year with 184 saves and had five shutouts in goal as she helped lead the Lady Tigers to a 10-9-1 record.
After missing out on a junior season, McFarland is batting .375 for the Lady Tiger softball team this season and she leads the team in stolen bases.
She spoke with YSE about getting the chance to play in college.
