Lady Rebels Charge Past Fort Campbell for 5th Straight Win (w/PHOTOS)

After falling behind early, the Todd County Central Lady Rebels quickly took care of things Thursday night. The Lady Rebels scored 20 unanswered runs in their first two at bats on the way to a 20-3 win over the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons on Senior Night in Elkton.

The win was the 5th straight and 7th in the last eight games for the Lady Rebels.

The Lady Rebels scored their 20 runs on just 5 hits, thanks in large part to 13 walks and 3 hit batters from the Lady Falcons.

Fort Campbell got all four of their hits in the top of the first innings as the Lady Falcons scored three times to take a 3-0 lead after one half inning.

The lead did not last long for Fort Campbell. The first eight batters for Todd County Central in the bottom half of the inning all reached base safely as the Lady Rebels scored 11 times in the bottom of the first to go up 11-3.

The Lady Rebels then scored nine more in the bottom of the second, all of them coming with two outs, as the lead grew to 20-3.

The Lady Falcons then went quietly in the top of the third as the 15-run rule ended the game.

Naomi Gammon led the Lady Rebels, going 2-2 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Naomi Welborn was just 1-1 but drove in five runs. Olivia Weikel, Isabelle Hightower, and Maliyah Merriweather, all had two RBIs each.

For the Lady Falcons, Tristin Caldwell, Kay’lah Wilson, Hannah Haler, and Avaley Moore had one hit each. Wilson, Moore, and Khloie Srarnater added an RBI each.

In the circle for Todd County Central, Bailey Harper got the start and went two innings, giving up three runs on four hits, striking out one and walking none.
