The Webster County Lady Trojans used two big innings to cruise by the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers Monday night. Webster scored double digits in the first and second innings on the way to a 22-1 three-inning win over the Lady Tigers.
Hopkinsville got the lead at the start the game, scoring a run in the top of the first when Zariona Bussell singled to drive in Zoey Thomas, putting the Lady Tigers up 1-0.
Webster County came back and quickly settled the matter, scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the first and then added 12 more runs in the bottom of the second.
Bussell finished 1-2 with a run scored for the Lady Tigers. Thomas was 1-1 with an RBI.
Webster County got a big game from Layla Scott, who went 3-3 with six RBIs and three runs scored. Raynei Roy was also 3-3. She had four RBIs and two runs scored.
