The Heritage Christian Academy Warriors celebrated Senior Day with a 17-2 win over Foundation Christian Academy on Monday at David Eddings Field, using a pair of huge innings to pull away early.
Foundation Christian grabbed the early lead in the top of the first inning. After Maddox Wilson and Will Cummins worked walks, Wyatt Watson lifted a fly ball to center that allowed Wilson to score for a 1-0 advantage.
Heritage Christian answered immediately with a four-run first. Collin Outland singled and later scored alongside Cadyn Travis when Caden Gresham reached on an error by the Falcons’ first baseman. Later in the inning, Jerry Spurling reached on a dropped third strike that allowed Preston Haddock and Caden Hale to score, giving the Warriors a 4-1 lead.
The Warriors then broke the game open with an 11-run second inning.

Outland started the rally with a triple to right field before Caden Gresham doubled home a run to make it 5-1. Caden Hale followed later with an RBI single, Lawson Clark added an RBI single to left, and Cadyn Travis drew a bases-loaded walk to extend the advantage.
Outland delivered his second triple of the inning, a shot to the fence in right field that cleared the bases and scored Cayden Nowak, Lawson Clark, and Travis for a 12-1 lead. Gresham later singled home Outland, while additional walks and defensive miscues helped Heritage Christian push the margin to 15-1 by inning’s end.
Foundation Christian (2-11) scored once in the top of the third when Wyatt Watson singled to right field to bring home Maddox Wilson, cutting the deficit to 15-2.
Heritage Christian ended the game in the bottom half of the inning. Outland doubled to left field to score Travis, and the Warriors added another run on an error to seal the 17-2 victory.
Outland led the Heritage Christian offense with a huge day at the plate, collecting two triples, a double, a single, and driving in four runs. Gresham added a double, single, and four RBI, while Clark and Hale each contributed RBI singles.
On the mound, Outland earned the win for the Warriors, striking out five and allowing one hit.
Heritage Christian (9-13) will host Union County on Tuesday at David Eddings Field.
