
The 7th District baseball and softball tournaments will get an early start, as schools look to work around potential weather problems and graduation exercises next wek.
Originally expected to begin on Monday, both tourneys will now begin Saturday with semifinal action.
Baseball will be played at the VFW Ballpark in Princeton.
Top-seeded Madisonville-North Hopkins will face No. 4 Dawson Springs at 11 a.m. Saturday.
No. 2 Caldwell County will play No. 3 Hopkins County Central immediately following the first game, at approximately 1 p.m.
The championship game is set for Monday at 5:30.
Softball will be played at Madisonville-North Hopkins High School.
In the first game at 11 a.m. Saturday, No. 1-seed Madisonville will meet No. 4 Dawson Springs.
The second game will immediately follow at approximately 12:30 p.m. with No. 2 Caldwell facing No. 3 Hopkins Central.
The softball championship game will be Monday at 6 p.m.
Admission is $8.
The district champions and runners-up advance to the 2nd Region tournaments the following week.
