
Caldwell County High School has selected Alexis Stewart as its new cheerleader coach.
The school announced the hire on Wednesday.
A former Caldwell County athlete, Stewart said she is proud to have the opportunity to give back to the program and community that helped shape a love for cheer and school spirit.
With a strong passion for leadership, athlete development, and building positive team culture, Stewart brings energy, dedication and experience to the program.
Over the years, Stewart has worked with athletes of various ages and skill levels, focusing on technique, discipline, teamwork and confidence both on and off the mat. Through coaching tumbling, recreational cheer and competitive programs, Stewart has developed a coaching style centered around accountability, hard work and creating opportunities for athletes to succeed.
Stewart said she is committed to building and strengthening the cheer program while creating a positive environment where athletes feel supported, challenged and motivated. Goals for the upcoming season include improving fundamentals, promoting school spirit, building leadership within the team and helping athletes grow as individuals and teammates.
Stewart added that she is looking forward to working with the athletes, families, school staff and community to make this season a successful and exciting one.
