Crittenden County sent two athletes to the KHSAA Class 1A State Track and Field Meet on Thursday, and both brought home medals.
Garyson Hall finished in 8th place in the discus throw with a heave of 127-06. His distance was a personal best, and the third-best in school history, behind Sean Thompson, whose 128-9 at the 2003 state meet is tops on the list.
Hall was also 13th in the shot put at 41-00.50.
Ella Geary closed out her outstanding Lady Rocket athletic career with a seventh-place finish in the long jump at 15-01.75. Her final jump was a season best and the third-longest in school history. Geary owns the top four distances in CCHS history.
The day was marred by rain showers, although not severe enough to cause any weather delays.
