The Caldwell County Lady Tiger softball squad handed out team awards from the 2026 season Sunday in the CCHS cafeteria.
Award winners included:
Varsity MVP – Daelen Kizzee (.415 Batting Average, 39 Hits, 32 Runs, 28 Stolen Bases)
JV MVP & Bomb Squad – Shylee Hinchee
Defensive Award – Tink Clark
Offensive Award – Ellie King (.367 Batting Average, 33 Hits, 28 RBIs), Bomb Squad
110% Award – Kayliana Bender
Clutch Player – Sydney Glisson (School Record 13 Innings Pitched, Game Winning RBI)
Bomb Squad – Alexis Wood
Love of the Game Award – Morgan Gilkey
The Lady Tigers went 12-17 this past season. Caldwell defeated Hopkins County Central 6-5 in 13 innings in the 7th District semifinals before bowing to Madisonville-North Hopkins in the district championship.
The Lady Tigers lost to Henderson County 8-0 in the first round of the 2nd Region tournament.
