Trigg County head coach Monty Todd has been named the Second Region Softball Coach of the Year by the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association.
Todd was honored alongside the other region coaches of the year over the weekend at the annual East-West All-Star Weekend and Hall of Fame induction.
Todd led the Lady Wildcats to a 26-10 record that included the Class 2A sectional championship and appearance in the State 2A Tournament, where they won two of three games and finished in fifth place.
The 26-win season set a school record for wins and marked three straight 20-win seasons – a program first.
Todd is 80-57 in four seasons as Trigg’s head coach and is set to become the program’s all-time wins leader next season.
Livingston Central freshman Addison Tramble was named the region player of the year by the coaches.
