A tough way to open the season for the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm Tuesday night. The Lady Storm made the trip to Henderson and fell to the Lady Colonels 6-0.
Henderson scored three goals in the first half and three more in the second half in picking up the win.
The Lady Storm had been looking for their second straight win over the Lady Colonels after knocking them off for the first time ever in the opening round of last year’s regional tournament.
Gabby Brasher gave the Lady Storm a big effort in goal, finishing the night with 11 saves.
Hopkins County Central (0-1) will host Madisonville-North Hopkins Thursday night in a Kentucky 2A sectional matchup in Mortons Gap.
