Cross country runners from all over western Kentucky were on the campus of Madisonville North Hopkins on Saturday morning for the Madisonville Classic.
The girls ran first and the pack was led by Fort Campbell’s Linden Pickler, who finished the 5K course in under 20 minutes at 19:26. She was followed by Webster County’s Paisley Stone with a time of 20:05.9 and Ohio County’s Lexi Hill took third at 20:37.9.
Fort Campbell also placed first in the team rankings with 44 points, followed by Graves County with 67 and Webster County with 74.
In the boys run, Union County’s Thomas Davis crossed the finish line first at 16:06.2, a full 40 seconds ahead of Webster’s Landon Higdon and Madisonville’s Kaleb Dunkley finished third at 17:24.5.
Graves County came out on top on the team leaderboard with 76 points while Butler County finished second with 87 and University Heights came in third with 99.
