Hopkins County Central placed two golfers among the top 25 on Saturday and finished eighth in the team standings at the Graves County Eagle Classic at Drake Creek Golf Club.
The Storm posted a team score of 345, finishing one shot ahead of ninth-place Hickman County. Central Hardin won the tournament at 11 over, followed by Marshall County at 22 over and host Graves County at 26 over.
Cole Crick led Hopkins County Central with a 9-over-par 81, tying for 20th place. He shot 40 on the front nine and 41 on the back. Crick recorded nine pars and birdied the par-4 eighth hole.
Will Lynch finished one shot behind Crick, tying for 24th with a 10-over 82. Lynch also went out in 40 before shooting 42 on the back nine. He made nine pars and recorded two birdies, coming on the par-4 third and par-5 18th holes.
Ashton Blades tied for 38th with a 16-over 88. After shooting 46 on the front nine, Blades improved by four shots with a 42 on the back. His round included seven pars.
Cade Williams rounded out the Storm’s team score with a 22-over 94. Williams shot 45 on the front and 49 on the back while recording six pars.
Ace Wilson also competed for Hopkins County Central, tying for 50th with a 95. He made five pars during his round.
Mayfield’s Rylan Crouch won the individual title with a 5-under-par 67. Paducah Tilghman’s Axl Young and New Covenant Christian Academy’s Finley Cunningham tied for second with 2-under 70s.
