Christian County broke open a close game with four second-half goals Tuesday night as the Tigers picked up a big 5-1 8th District win over the Fort Campbell Falcons at the Stadium of Champions.
The Falcons battled the Tigers through the first forty minutes, trailing just 1-0 at the break. Christian County’s Sebastian Klar found the net for the only goal of the opening forty minutes.
Christian County then began to take control of the match in the second half and scored four times on the way to pulling out to the four goal margin.
Mikel Ramirez, Cooper Fort, and Jamiah Shanklin, all scored in the second half as Christian County put the match away.
Toby Flynn had the lone goal for the Falcons, finding the net in the second half of play. Levi Kruse finished the night with 14 saves in goal for Fort Campbell.
Christian County improves to 5-3 with the win, while Fort Campbell drops to 1-3-1.
